Introduction to mindfulness technique and theory
Join this interactive workshop to experience four different meditation practices and learn how to distinguish between them. The term mindfulness is used in many different ways in scientific research, which can create confusion. In response, researchers have developed a classification system to better define and organize different types of meditation and mindfulness exercises. In the first part of the workshop, participants will be introduced to a theoretical approach to defining meditation. In the second part, they will take part in four meditation exercises and experience the differences between various practices firsthand.
This workshop is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of meditation and provide practical tools for identifying and categorizing different meditation techniques. No prior experience is necessary.
