Prof. Susan Ayers 

Susan is a Professor at City St George’s, University of London, who specialises in perinatal mental health. A chartered health psychologist and cognitive behaviour therapist, her research focuses on women’s mental health during pregnancy and after birth, particularly anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. She is author of Psychology for Medicine and editor of the Cambridge Handbook of Psychology, Health and Medicine. Her work has been recognised with several awards, including the Myriam de Senarclens Prize (2022) and the British Medical Association Foundation Pushpa Chopra Prize (2023).
